As you peek through the ivy covered trees and duck under the garland of stars draped amongst the leaves you’ll come to a blue pool nestled in the mountains under a rushing waterfall. You might hear the gentle snores coming from a little Calf nearby and the buzzing of a team of bumblebees above the trees. A flutter of wings diverts your attention to Dove soaring above holding a pendant made of treasures from the forest. She passes the gift to Otter who sails down the waterfall passing it to Frog. Frog hops across the lily pads, Fish swimming by his side, and reaches Mother Cow. The pendant glistens around Mother Cow’s neck and she sits proudly, beating her big butterfly wings. Further in the distance there’s a loud splash! As Pig dives into a pool, high up in the mountain! After her swim Pig may climb the golden ladders into the clouds and the night sky. All while Mother Cow’s Calf snoozes on.

Description

This scene is comprised of different layers and stand alone pieces, almost like a theatre design. The back panel of mountains for example stands separately to the 2D sets of trees and to the waterfall which stands independently to the pool. The figures of Mother Cow, Calf, Dove, Otter and Frog are therefore moveable, as well as the flora and fauna, lichen, Fish and wave. This enables you to alter the set up as you wish, and to carefully move the characters and details around to your liking.

The front layer of 3D trees stand on wheeled platforms that can close together hiding the scene and open out, revealing the scene.

Measurements:
29cm wide x 25cm high x 33cm deep (3D trees closed at the front)
46cm wide x 25cm high x 23cm deep (3D trees open at the sides)

Materials: Porcelain, gold lustre, gold plated copper wire.

Delivery: This diorama is too complex to post and would require personal delivery. The price shown is for the diorama and a delivery and set up fee will be added on after purchase. Care: The piece should not require particular cleaning over its lifetime but please do give it a gentle blow every now and then to remove any dust that may settle on it. Please note that the wire will gradually darken in time as it oxidises.
